Rispetto a quanto annunciato a suo tempo dalla Moulinsart (la società che gestisce il patrimonio di Hergé), che per ovvi motivi avrebbe voluto far uscire il film di Tintin il 22 maggio 2011 (il 22 maggio è il compleanno di Hergé), la Paramount Pictures ha comunicato che il film di Spielberg (The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn - click questo titolo per dati ulteriori e il cast completo) sarà nelle sale tra la fine di ottobre e l'inizio di novembre 2011 (distribuito da Sony Pictures Releasing International in Europa, America Latina e India), per uscire poi negli USA il 23 dicembre dello stesso anno."Paramount Pictures and Sony Pictures Entertainment today announced their release plans for the long awaited 3-D motion capture feature film "The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn" directed by Steven Spielberg, produced by Spielberg, Peter Jackson, and Kathleen Kennedy.
